Estate Planning
Liz’s practice areas are primarily focused on analyzing risks and rewards. Estate planning is another extension of this focus. No one expects the unexpected, but a properly drafted estate plan will prepare you for the unexpected.
As an estate planning client, Liz will partner with you to help you think about your goals and intentions. Most people know they need a will, but they don’t know what they want to write in it, and may not think about many important considerations. Liz will walk through your decisions with you and make sure that your estate plan meets your goals.
An estate plan is particularly important for non-United States citizens or blended families where one parent is a United States citizen, and the other is not. Property distribution laws are very different from one country to another, and even from one state to another. It is important that international families have an estate plan that makes sure their children and property are cared for after their death.
